We don’t want such a Pakistan wherein Pashtuns bleed, say protesters in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Pashtuns’ rights activists the other day held a protest demonstration in front of Peshawar Press Club and condemned the extra judicial killing of Naqeeb Mehsud in Karachi and the detention of Pashtun students of Punjab University in Lahore.

A protester while condemning state suppression of Pashtuns said that today Pashtuns are not safe in villages, cities, universities, and mosques and the reason is obvious.

He said that Pashtun leaders such as Asfandyar Wali Khan, Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Maulana Fazal Rehman should come together and seek ways and means how to get the Pashtuns out of this deadliest challenge.

He said that what did Bacha Khan, the legendary and visionary Pashtun leaders had predicted decades ago is happening today exactly.

The protesters chanted “down with Punjabistan and down with Pakistan” slogans and said they don’t want such a Pakistan where there is the genocide of Pashtuns.
