Twin blasts strike Kabul, dozens dead

KABUL: Two explosions went off in capital Kabul on Tuesday, police confirmed.

The two back-to-back blasts happened in Darul Aman area of Kabul, near parliament offices.

The blasts targeted security personnel at the parliament.

A security official told 1TV on condition of anonymity that 28 people were killed and 60 more injured, following the blasts.

Kabul’s PD7 Police Chief among the dead people, a source said.

Afghanparliament member, Rahima Jami slightly injured in the incident.

There was no immediate confirmation of casualties from the police.

Taliban claimed responsibility for the bombings.

Earlier on Tuesday, a suicide bomb blast killed at least eight people and wounded nine more in Lashkargah, the capital city of southern Helmand province-E-NEWS
