Seven Afghans Kidnapped in Pakistan’s Baluchistan Province

BPPAKISTAN: Seven Afghans have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in restive Baluchistan province of Pakistan.

Reports suggest that guns were fired in Taftan area of Chagai District near the border with Iran which left two Afghans wounded on Sunday evening.

Following the gun battle, seven Afghans were taken to an undisclosed location, said Taftan Assistant Commissioner Murad Kasi.

Health condition of those wounded in the incident is reportedly critical. They have been admitted to a nearby government hospital for treatment.

There is no immediate information about the kidnappers but security officials say a search operation has been launched to recover the hostages. -KP
