President off to Iran to attend Rohani’s swearing-in ceremony

ايران افغانستانKABUL: At the head of a high-level delegation, President Ashraf Ghani on Saturday flew to Tehran, the capital of Iran, to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian president, Dr. Hassan Rouhani.

A statement from the Presidential Palace said the president would also meet Rouhani and other officials and discuss improving bilateral relations and cooperation among the two neighbors during his trip.

Dr. Mohammad Hamyon Qayyumi, senior advisor to the president on infrastructure affairs and Shah Hussain Mortazavi, acting head of the Presidential Palace’s media office accompanied Ghani during his visit to Iran.
