According to the sources that in a trilateral meeting between Ghani, Sharif and David Cameroon in Paris, the dialogue process between the Afghan government and the Taliban was discussed at length.
According to the sources from the office of Pakistani Prime minister, Ashraf Ghani is expected to visit Pakistan on December 9 to participate in the Fifth Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process which would be jointly organized by Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said at the end of the trilateral meeting in Paris, “a warm welcome awaits Mr Ghani in Islamabad at the Heart of Asia Meeting on 9th December”.
Earlier it was very doubtful that President Ghani would visit Pakistan in face of strained relationship between the two countries.
Mr Ghani has over and again accused the Pakistani state for not doing enough to eradicate those sanctuaries of militants in Pakistan that perpetrate terrorist acts in Afghanistan.
