After the release of a tearful trailer and title track, Sanam Teri Kasam finally teased the kookier side of Mawra Hocane’s character Saru in the video of the song ‘Kheech Meri Photo’. The song is upbeat and a potential party song, marking a shift from the film’s hitherto melancholic mood.
Saru is decidedly drunk throughout the video – a first for her sober character who wants to experience life like her more exciting peers. An inebriated Saru lets loose in a bazaar and saves a fish from decapitation, only to let her own head hang over the tracks at a railway station soon after.
Her new friend Inder (played by Telugu actor Harshvardhan Rane) – who is the real drunk in the film – takes care of her in her besotted state. Inder’s numerous selfies and photos capture their crazy journey for posterity.
Mawra has been seen in a teddy bear suit and a beautiful sari, but here the wardrobe keeps it as simple as a girl next door’s. She really pulls off the nerd glasses, though. -Agencies
