KABUL: President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Tuesday telephoned India Prime Minister Narendra Modi and condemned the “cross border attack” in Uri while expressing solidarity with India to eliminate the threat of terrorism.
Ghani strongly condemned the cross-border terror attack and conveyed Afghanistan’s solidarity and support with India for all actions to eliminate the threat of terrorism, a PMO statement said.
Eighteen Indian soldiers were killed and over a dozen wounded in Sunday militant attack in Uri military base in Indian administered Kashmir.
Indian blamed its arch rival neighboring Pakistan for the attack and alleged terrorist having support from Islamabad carried out the attack.
