KABUL: Leading astrologer Abdullah Kandahari on Thursday hinted the Eidul Fitr festival would be celebrated on Wednesday (July 6).
He told media the Ramadan moon could still be visible on Monday for 20 minutes in Morocco and for eight minutes in Saudi Arabia.
Kandahari said the moon might be visible in European countries, the United States and other parts of the world on Tuesday.
On Monday, the moon could be sighted in Afghanistan for three minutes but due to lack of equipment, people might not see it.
According to Kandahari, the Eid may not fall on Tuesday. He said there was a strong possibility of Tuesday being the 30th of Ramadan and Wednesday first day of Eid. -Pajhwok
