BANNU: Two Dead in Bomb Blast Targeting Federal Minister Akram Khan Durrani

The Federal Minister Akram Khan Durrani narrowly escaped an attempt made on his life when in the evening an improvised explosive device hit his convoy in Bakka Khel, Bannu. a1

According to the initial reports it was a remote-controlled bomb blast, in which two persons have died.

Today when Akram Durrani was returning from the Hujra of Haji Nawab Khan, uncle of the member of Provincial Assembly and Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Shah Muhammad Khan, an ambulance which was following the car of Akram Khan Durran and was carrying the staff of District Headquarter Hospital Bannu came under a remote-controlled bomb attack. Haji Nawab Khan had arranged a program in his Hujra to join JUI-F, for which he had also invited the JUI Federal minister.

A man, Ahsan, died in this remote-controlled bomb attack on the spot while three other men Abid, Shereen and Rauf received critical injuries and have now been admitted in DHQ, Bannu. Akram Durrani is safe in the attack.
