A new and completely lethal android phone killer adware has been discovered by tech security firm Lookout Security. The adware can infect almost 20000 apps downloaded from the any android sources and embeds itself into the OS.
Lookout Security has claimed that Adware, which has traditionally been used to aggressively push ads, is now becoming trojanized and sophisticated,” it wrote in a blog post. “This is a new trend for adware and an alarming one at that.”
Lookout Security officials maintain they have dcome across three different types of trojanized adware, which are interlinked. These are Shuanet, Kemoge and Shudun and are there main cause for more than 20,000 apps being infected with malicious adware, that can completely brick the android phone or tablet.
Even factory resetting can’t remove the malware and any android apps downloaded from any sources excluding Google play can be infected with the malware. The United States, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Jamaica, Brazil, Iran, Sudan, India and Indonesia are the countries that have been most affected by the adware, while experts are saying the best way to keep one’s smartphone safe is to download apps only from Google Play and to avoid any other Android app stores.
