Afghanistan-cricket-board-ICC-full-membershipKABUL: The Afghanistan national cricket team has been confirmed as the full members by the International cricket council.

“Afghanistan Cricket Board and Cricket Ireland have been confirmed as Full Members of the International Cricket Council after a unanimous vote at the ICC Full Council meeting at The Oval today,” ICC said in a statement.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) in a statement said the International Cricket Council meeting was underway in London city of the United Kingdom and as a result the Afghanistan and Ireland cricket teams managed to achieve the full membership.

The statement further added that the Afghanistan cricket board had submitted an application for the full membership few days earlier.

This comes as reports regarding the consideration of the full membership for the Afghan cricket team emerged for the first time earlier in April this year.
