UAE: The Afghanistan national cricket team defeated Zimbabwe in the opening match of the One Day International (ODI) series played at Sharjah on Friday.
Afghanistan after winning the toss selected to bat first and set a target of 132 runs in 38.5 overs after losing all wickets.
However, Zimbabwe was all out after 30.5 overs.
Afghanistan will play a total of five ODI matches and two Twenty20 matches against Zimbabwe in Sharjah ahead of the ICC Twenty20 World Cup 2016.
Amir Hamza received Man of the Match award.
