Achakzai’s Reservations on ISPR Statement

Achakzai600ISLAMABAD: The Leader of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Mehmood Achakzai has expressed reservations on the press release of ISPR, which stressed on complimentary initiatives on the part of civilian government with a view to secure long term security gains in the military operations against terrorism. Addressing the National Assembly, Mehmood Achakzai said that ISPR press release concerning the yesterday’s Corps’ Commanders conference goes against the grain of constitution, saying that any foreign policy made outside Parliament is unacceptable to his party.

He added that if both the military and civilian Sharifs are on the same page on foreign policy, he and his party would support that unconditionally, but they would support the civilian Sharif only if he differed with military. Achakzai also referred to the government ministered in his address to become more punctual during the National Assembly sessions.
