KABUL: At least ten people were killed and four others were wounded in an explosion in Kabul province earlier today.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior confirmed the incident and said at least ten people were killed and four others were wounded.
Najib Danish sad the attack took place in the 5th police district of Kabul targeting a vehicle carrying the appellate court employees of Maidan WArdak.
He said the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber.
No group including the Taliban militants has claimed responsibility behind the incident yet.
Earlier the Taliban group vowed to target the judiciary workers in retaliation to the execution of a number of group’s militants by the Afghan government.
The Afghan government executed at least six militants over terror offences in capital Kabul earlier this month.
The execution of the militants followed days after a deadly attack rocked capital Kabul leaving at least 64 people dead and 347 others wounded. -KP
