President off to Tajikistan for CASA-1000 summit

براى ارشيفKABUL: At the head of a high-level delegation, President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday flew to Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, to attend the second summit on a mega power project.

During the daylong visit, Ghani would the meeting on CASA-1000 and hold talks with Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon on further expansion of relations between the two countries.

A statement from Ghani’s office said the president would attend the trilateral summit involving Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Pakistan. He will also attend an exhibition of agricultural products.

Minister of Finance Aklil Hakimi, Minister of Economy Abdul Sattar Murad, Advisor Dr. Mohammad Amin Qayyumi, Mohammad Shakir Kargar and other high-ranking officials are accompanying the president.
