West Indies wins ICC T20 World Cup by defeating England in final match
West Indies has won the ICC World Twenty20 by defeating England in the final match by 4 wickets WITH 2 balls remaining.
England set a target of 162 runs for West Indies after losing the toss with West Indies opting to field first.
Despite losing early wickets in the top order, it was the middle order batsmen who helped England to set a satisfactory target for the West Indies.
However, it was Marlon Samuels who helped West Indies to chase the target after losing the two opening batsmen during the intial overs of the game.
He remained not out after scoring 85 runs from 66 balls and by hitting 2 Sixes and 9 Fours to help chase the given target.
West Indies needed 19 runs during the last over of the game but Brathwaite helped to finish the game in their favor by hitting 3 back to back Sixes.
