126,336 Afghan refugees have been asked to relocate from Haripur within 30 days or be ready to face the music

HARIPUR: 

The district administration has asked Afghan refugees to either relocate within next 30 days or be ready to face the music.

The move was part of the campaign that was intiated by the government to relocate Afghan nationals to Afghanistan in order to maintain peace in the country.

Officials at the Haripur DC office told media, the administration has asked Afghan nationals to relocate to camp areas with their businesses within 30 days.

For strict compliance of the order, the district administration has also imposed section 144 warning the Afghan refugees of legal action.

Meanwhile, there are 22,012 registered families with 126,336 individuals in Haripur. Of them, over 2,600 families and 15,000 individuals are living in rented houses in different parts of the district.  Similarly, in Panian and Padhana Afghan camps, there are over 100,000 Afghan nationals and of them, 27,000 are living in rented houses. -Agencies
